MIUI 8 New Features

Xiaomi recently announced it's New User Interface MIUI 8. Company confirmed that it will be rolled out for users on August 23, 2016.

Xiaomi users have waiting for the release of the MIUI 8 in India. MIUI 8 will roll out for Xiaomi Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi Mi Max and the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 3s/3s Prime. 

So many changes doing by Xiaomi in MIUI 8. Here i give list about new features we see in new MIUI 8.

1. Change Gallery

The standard “Gallery” application has modified, Xiaomi added more options for photo editing, such as adding inscriptions, stickers and drawings on the photo. Now MIUI users can edit captured video clips directly on the smartphone in the application “Gallery”. Also “Gallery” redesigned feature of photos multi-selection for sharing.

2. Notes

“Notes” application in the MIUI 8 has an additional option of setting a password on a note and if your device has a fingerprint sensor you can set additional protection.

3. MI Lanting Fonts

MIUI 8 has a brand new font to exchange the previous, it's known as Mi Lanting and Xiaomi claims that it's easier for perception of the user. This font is therefore convenient that the eyes won't be tired even you read 6  hours continuously.

4. Calculator and QR Code Scanner

MIUI 8 get upgrade in two standard applications, QR-codes scanner and the calculator. Using the scanner it is now possible to identify items in a picture and search for similar ones on the web and the calculator has acquired new features of calculation and conversion of popular quantities.

5. New Application Colours

I love this change. Now you get funky new application colors who makes your phone look rich. Xiaomi re-design all the colors in standard applications, so now MIUI 8 has become more cleaner, clearer, brighter.

6. New Application Manager

Application Manager also get new features like all the browser windows now are arranged from top to bottom, and all running applications from left to right. Program windows have become more apparent than shortcuts in MIUI 7. Now you can just swipe for close your any App.

7. Quick Ball 

MIUI 8 adds a handy Quick Ball feature that pins a quick access shortcut on the home screen that can also be accessed from the lockscreen, making one-handed operation a breeze. Actions can be customised to the user's liking.

8. improve Caller ID

MIUI 8's improved Caller ID feature now shows you who is calling more intuitively and also has contact details of popular businesses like Amazon India so you can call them even if you don't know their numbers. The Caller ID feature also works in messages.
